A friend from work mentioned something that is sticking with me as I work tonight. 

He said something to the effect of “Hard work is the most valuable resource.”  I find that appropriate recently as I work on kicking off some blogs. 

I work in IT for a vertical business and there have been times when I worked so hard while sitting in my seat that I just went home and passed out.  Thinking creatively and strategically while solving problems eight, ten or twelve hours takes mental effort and can drain you.  Lately, that’s not been the case.  I work but the work is more rote and, therefore, less mentally draining although it remains somewhat demanding by its volume.

Personal blogging, effort, reading, resources

I’ve blogged in one fashion or another for over 5 years now.  I believe you’ll find more benefit from my work in 2009 and hereafter.

The focus from this point on isn’t just to provide a platform from which to express whatever enters my head or to get kudos from folks I know.  My goal is to give something to those of you who keep coming back to read my posts.

Right now I’m focusing on a few areas: Finance and Content but we may explore some other topics as they touch on these areas.
